Description

On a dark blue field, a diamond Gules fimbriated Or and charged with a harp of the same and emanating to chief and base six ropes entwined Proper.The baldric colors convey the Infantry branch where the band began. In chief the Boar’s head adapted from James Olgethorpe’s crest, founder of the colony of Georgia which alludes to the home area of the 116TH Army Band.The boar’s head is also of courage and ferocity.Above the diamond the units one World War I campaign from its beginning.Below the diamond, streamers, denoting the bands decorations for service during World War II Campaigns.
